LEAGUE RULES AND PROCEDURES
Settlement of Questions
The Tournament Chairman and the Rules Chairman will arrange for the settlement of all questions regarding the rules of golf. In the absence of either Chairman, the vacancy shall be filled temporarily by one or more persons from the Executive Committee [President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer].
Use of Carts
Electric carts are permitted for all league play, weather permitting.
On play dates that are designated Cart Path Only, players who have provided a state-issued handicap placard may cancel the day of play without penalty.
Scorecards
Be sure to check that your score is added correctly. Errors on the scorecard will result in you being ineligible for prizes won on that day. Be sure to place your signed scorecard in the Women's Locker Room on the bulletin board area designated for GAG
Entering Scores with CDGA
You must enter your golf scores into the CDGA website in order to have a current handicap. It is preferred that you enter the score on the date of play. The website will automatically calculate your net score based on your handicap.
Rules
USGA Rules apply. Carry a USGA Rule Book with you. The Rules board member will notify members of course-specific rules.
Players Responsibility
Players can sign up themselves and one other person.
Players are to report and be ready to play 15 minutes before their assigned tee time.
Players must tee off at first hole in foursomes every 10 minutes unless notified to do otherwise. Play must continue for 18 holes.
To be eligible for weekly prizes, players must tee off within allotted league tee times.
ONLY members of the GAG league play in our allotted league tee times.
Only members and former members may attend GAG luncheons
RULES GOVERNING LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP
Contestants must have played in or been credited for five Tuesday league days during the season to be eligible.
All contestants, including defending League Champion, must sign up for the League Championship.
Current handicaps apply throughout the League Championship.
In case of a tie for championship class low gross, there will be a sudden death play off. Starting hole is to be determined by Tournament Committee. Ties for other low gross and low net will be decided by the recommended USGA strength of finish.
END-OF-SEASON AWARDS
League member is only eligible to win one major award. One award will be given per flight to the GAG member for:
Low Gross
Low Net
Low Putts
Beat the Course
To be eligible for an end-of-year award, the GAG member must have played a miimu of 10 League days.
Most Improved Handicap
Only one winner for this award
To be eligible for the end-of-year Most Improved Member award, the GAG member must have a CDGA Index (or comparable Index, e.g. GHIN), by the start of the first day of League play. In addition, the member must have played at least 10 League days.
